I find nothing admirable or worthy in these armchair statesmen remotely denouncing Ramdev on specious and questionable grounds, decontextualizing a few details of his head-on confrontation with the Congi fascists, such as trying to avoid capture, wearing women's clothes etc., and criticizing the man for not living up to THEIR standards of leadership, standards which they themselves seem quite incapable of putting into practice in the world of bricks and mortar, muck and mire. I'm not saying Ramdev is perfect, but I'd take him any day over these clueless online Maharathis who would rather launch missiles at the good guys rather than uniting against the common foe who has today shown to what extent she is willing to go in brutalizing the native sons of India's soil.

Such senseless finger-pointing seems to be in line with most other egocentric claptrap that is standard fare from India's self-preening neo-Angrez elites. To them Baba Ramdev is a throwback and an anachronism and India itself a rudderless ship that needs to catch up with America by becoming some sort of caricature of the U.S.A. Intellectually fattened on a steady diet of American pseudo-psycholigists and pop-philosophers like Ayn Rand and Stephen Covey, these worthies live in their own manufactured reality in which they are the "leaders" and "netas" the blighted country has been waiting for. The web has given their ambitions a safe outlet to FEEL like the great souls that they are convinced they are within… if only the world would pay them the attention they deserve.

I wish them all the best but will not stand and watch them casting rotten tomatoes from the stands at the real players in this difficult and dangerous arena.

Sitting in Melbourne it is hard to get fresh info on what is going on in India. Supratim alerted me to a shocking piece of info just a few minutes ago, re: Baba Ramdev's behaviour upon being arrested:

A person who jumped into a group of women and girl volunteers, to shield himself from the Police. A person who left all his aides to the tender mercies of the cops while running away personally. A person finally arrested in the dress of a woman (Salwar-kameez!), skulking outside a railway station. What kind of a martyr is he, one who would leave his followers, while trying to save his own skin? Tilak, Gokhale, Gandhi, Bose would all lead their own andolans and take the first blow themselves. Not so for this yoga guru with mighty pretensions.

I quickly confirmed at least most of this here. And here. 

Till a few minutes ago I was at least under the favorable impression about the Baba, that he'd be considered to be a martyr by the people of India – for the way he was treated.

But no! I was wrong.

He is a COWARD.

I suddenly was reminded of the quality of leaders we had in our independence movement, and what we have today.

One the one hand we had Lala Lajpat Rai, the LION of Panjab, who died as a result of the lathis of the British police. He would not BUDGE. Lathis or anything. He was a LION. His conviction in his ideas was supreme.

On the other hand I can visualise this Baba Ramdev character, fleeing from arrest (he should have COURTED arrest, if he had the courage of conviction for what he was fighting). Worse, he changed quickly into the dress of a woman. A mouse, this man.

Now, I have nothing against cross-dressers, but then he HID inside a group of women. Getting women to shield him!!! That shows the true nature of his courage.

I'm sorry. Baba. If you don't have the conviction of conscience, don't  enter the public space. 

And if you are afraid of death, then don't try to save India.

I have been very patient and considerate towards Baba Ramdev and IAC, despite good grounds to have dissociated with these movements even earlier. I have even offered to work together with these movements should they change their policy stance. But I simply don't tolerate cowardice. That is worse – MUCH WORSE – than corruption.

I, the "owner" of this blog am "Sanjiv Sabhlok" and I reside in Australia working as a Chartered Financial Accountant with a leading international Bank.

DISCLAIMER : 2 years ago Sanjeev Sabhlok claimed I impersonated him on the website of "The Economist" magazine by posting comments using my Yahoo mail ID, and my Yahoo mail account was terminated, causing me to then register the email ID "sanjeev_sabhlok@yahoo.com.au" where I can also be contacted. I am also the registered user of mail IDs like "sabhlokcity" etc. which I am entitled to register.

This Weblog is a "reaction"ary blog where I "react" (as an Indian, proud Hindu and highly qualified professional) to the intellectual garbage which the "psycho" Sanjeev Sabhlok pumps out 24x7. As a reaction to these, I collect from the Internet what other hundreds of pissed off net users write about Sanjeev Sabhlok's abusive postings / psychotic rantings, and I analyse them (and usually clean them up) and post them up with my comments. That is what a WEBLOG's official role is (please see Wikipedia).

So to sum up:-

1) I am Sanjiv Sabhlok from Melbourne Australia commenting on what my nakesake Sanjeev Sabhlok who also stays in Australia publishes and which tend to defame me. Yes, I know this is "coincidence" and the odds of it happening are a miillion to 1.

Please read the article below and see what words you will use for proud non-Hindu foreign capitalist Sanjeev Sabhlok who wants to privatise beef industry in India using Australian abbotoir technology and to export abundantly cheap and surplus Indian cows to be slaughtered.

He has even floated a new party "Swarna Bharat Party" for this purpose and collected about 36 rascals in a so called "Freedom Team of India" to fight elections which will be financed by Baba Ramdev to set up a cow butchery in J&K, the meat will be sold to be eaten by locals, the urine and bones and hooves will be "rendered" and used to make certain ayurvedic preparations and dog food.

My view is very simple. The cow is food in all parts of the world (except for a few Hindus and Jains in India), and Hindus ate the cow for thousands of years till the influence of the Jains made them change their mind. 

Regardless of that, I don't expect the state to dictate what food a person may or may not eat. I don't expect it to create a law that you SHOULD eat beef, for instance.

The ONLY reason the state can impose its views on such matters is if you harm others in this process, or if doing so will harm the environment.

The cow is not a scarce animal. Plenty of cows exist and plenty more can be produced as needed. The tiger is a genuine scarce animal and being at the top of the ecological food chain of the jungle, the dying out of tigers can severely damage the natural environment. For instance if tigers die then all forests will be ravaged and destroyed by plant eating animals. Hence for tigers a different policy applies.

But the policy on tigers (see my article on the environment) does not ask that you don't kill tigers. It asks for tigers (indeed jungles) to be privatised and reared just like any other animal. Wherever wildlife has been privatised (Coase theorem will show you how it works), it has flourished.

There are innumerable instances of the truth of this theorem. There is, for instance, no threat of extinction of crocodiles in Australia since crocodile farms are licensed to grow them and sell their meat and skin. It is a highly profitable business. Eg. see this.

I respect yours or Baba Ramdev's right NOT to eat beef IF you so feel (on any ground, call it moral if you wish), but I REFUSE to have you impose your will through the state on this matter. That involves the TOTAL DESTRUCTION of freedom.

You will first have to prove to me that eating beef is harmful. The entire world except a few Hindus in India eats beef, and they haven't died. Note that Indians ate beef for thousands of years till the Jain influence grew strong. They didn't die. And I know of MANY MANY Indians who eat beef outside India. They aren't dying. So what's the problem? Food is supposed to nourish. What you or I or anyone else puts into our own mouths is none of the business of others.

If eating beef is not lethal and it doesn't kill others, then there is no cause to interfere in the freedoms of others to eat beef. I think Baba Ramdev is trying to impose HIS version of morality on the rest of the world. That amounts to dictatorship. Let him learn to respect others. 

He is welcome not to kill cows for food. But let him please learn the basics of freedom.

ADDENDUM

1) That Indians ate beef in the past is well documented, e.g. by Gandhi, Nehru, and also in a detailed book: Jha's Myth of the Holy Cow.

2) I believe animals must be treated respectfully and have clarified in detail in Chapter 4 of DOF. That does not mean that we elevate them to a pedestal equal to us.

3) It is a huge disincentive for farmers to raising cows in India (and hence most are KILLED UPON BIRTH) because they can't sell them freely in the market, except for milk, which they hardly produce any. What the Baba Ramdev policy will do is to ensure that MORE COWS ARE KILLED AT BIRTH. Is that what he wants? And why does he want to harm the Indian farmer who may well earn a decent livelihood by selling cows for meat? 

4) Do you want to see how a cow should be treated and respected? Then visit Australian farms. You'll find cows allowed to roam freely and widely over a vast expanse of grass; their needs catered to carefully; their health monitored by veterinarians (who are paid MORE than doctors). And when they are taken to abbatoirs, the regulations require a very specific and humane way of killing them for meat. Compare with the way cows are often treated in India – with the GREATEST DISRESPECT, driven from one garbage heap to another, forced to live a sad and tragic life before finally being sold in underhand ways to people who will kill them without the slightest mercy and without access to modern machines. Want to show respect for something? Then privatise it. The owner will show it respect if it becomes an economic good.

His slogan is something like 'jab Sarkar khud kare vyaapaari, to Desh ke logon bane bhikari 'when the Government turns to keeping shop, Into destitution the people drop'- i.e. the Govt. ought not to run enterprises better managed by the private sector. It's a simplistic slogan but not notably more so than any other and might even have been meaningful some time prior to 1974 which was the last occasion when any Economist could plausibly argue that the reverse might be the case. I choose the year 1974 advisedly, because till that time it did look as though Coal would do better, or not quite as crap, under the Govt. Indeed, till that date, it was possible to envision a not utterly shit Industrial proletariat whose militancy might be muted by reason of the elimination of the evil capitalist and Public Ownership of the Enterprise.

Hey! Who knew the Indian worker would turn out to be as shite as the Indian bureaucrat or the Indian Economist or Indian Politician? At least the 'proletarian vanguard'- in the Coal and Iron and other 'commanding heights' industries- had a chance to show they were worthless rubbish at the comparatively low tariff of fucking over their sons rather than shedding any of their own precious blood, not to mention sweat, pretending they were genuine Commies or Stakhanovites or whatever was fashionable back then.

Still, India's bizarre labour and bankruptcy laws- its utterly mad notion of 'sick' units- meant that Civil Servant-run Public Enterprises were still somewhat less crap when compared, like against like, with Private sickies promoted by utter shitheads and cow-worshiping buffoons.

Sabhlok, a manic exhibitionist of his own appalling ignorance, might be forgiven for not knowing about this.

What is odd, indeed richly comic, is to see him lined up behind Baba Ramdev- a supposed Holy Man turned merchant, now seeking a political role- whose main claim to fame is his 'Educationally backward caste status' and carefully cultivated image of rural imbecility.

It appears that Sabhlok's vaunted 'Classical Liberalism'- which views Govt. owned Enterprises as evil- has no problem with God-men turning merchant or even turning into power brokers. Extraordinarily enough, Sabhlok quotes the Arthashastra as a source for his views. Yet, Chanakya is perfectly orthodox in his strictures on Religion. In the Arthashastra, or Manu Smriti, or any other such ancient Indian text, whereas the State is given the monopoly of certain industries as well as eminent domain and regulatory powers w.r.t various guilds and corporations, Religion is very strictly prohibited from any sort of simoniac commerce or  mercenary trafficking.  Precisely for that reason, both Shraman and Brahmin were prohibited any means of livelihood, other than the seeking of alms. Indeed, bogus Babas, quacks, alchemists and the like- though used as spies against the enemy- enjoyed no toleration save that of summary execution.

Sabhlok tells Baba's audience that he is not a Hindu- get rid of Caste and then maybe I'll consider it, is what the acharabrashta cunt says- so, I take it, his praise of the Baba arises from no personal piety or other such excusable soteriological motive but is solely dictated by the success of the God-man's money making schemes- in particular some imported Swiss machinery that is used in his 'Ayurvedic' food processing facility, which, for some reason,  the fuckwit Sabhlok thinks makes the product 'swadesi' (i.e. produced with indigenous technology).

The problem here is that we have no way of knowing if Baba Ramdev's commercial ventures are actually profitable. It is entirely possible that the losses are being covered by the diversion of donated funds. Secondly, even if the Baba's Ayurvedic business is profitable, we don't know whether this is because it is commercially viable in itself or whether this is a 'rent' accruing to the Baba's charisma- i.e. the product commands a premium based entirely on the Baba's endorsement- or else is simply a case of 'primitive accumulation'- the Baba may have simply stolen the land, fucked over his suppliers and indulged in accounting chicanery.

Sanjeev Sabhlok is a bureaucrat not an Accountant so perhaps his naivety in this matter is par for the course. What is decidedly odd is that he has rushed to associate himself with a God-man who has questions to answer regarding unjust enrichment, most notably in connection with the disappearance of his own Guru.

What of Sabhlok's own Guru parampara?- assuming he owns any such thing- has he kept faith with his teachers or killed them all off to make a quick buck? I see from his Wikipedia entry that the Indian tax payer paid for his PhD (that too in Economics! ) from the University of Southern California which is considered fairly conservative and reputable. Incidentally, I should mention, Sabhlok's father appears to have been a highly educated man steeped in Indian traditional culture and values. No doubt he was tremendously pleased when Sabhlok, having got his American PhD on the Indian tax payer's dime fucked off to Australia and acquired that country's citizenship as soon as he could do so.

I had heard that this worthless cunt is only kept in Govt. in Australia because he is a worthless shit and advises the plundering of that great country's resources by any fucking cunt wot pays off the politicians. Being a fucking 'abo' look-alike or 'blackie', this ignorant turd is useful because any liberal who objects can be accused of 'racism'.

Sabhlok isn't smart enough to extort money from that fellow- he'll be lucky to get out of that Ashram with the chaddi on his buttocks.

Perhaps, Australia wants him to fuck up the Indian Coal industry so as to increase their own exports? Plausible, but Sabhlok is a witless shithead. Read his books. (Don't. They're shit) Who would trust him with any such project?

The truth is, unlike Baba Ramdev, who probably only killed off his own Guru to gain land and wealth, rather than as a matter of principle, Indian 'Classical Liberals' like Sabhlok will kill their Gurus just for a chance to make a public spectacle of themselves and even pay a premium for the privilege. No doubt, as a high strung type (but great unconscious comic) Sabhlok found relief from some imaginary ailment by doing some bogus 'Yogic' exercise or taking some quack remedy of the Baba's and, if so, it may be, in foro conscientiae,  the imputation  of egregious bad faith to him is defeated and his conduct stands testimony merely to his own feeble mindedness rather than something generic and relating to the ideological position he claims to espouse.

Freedom Team India (FTI) has been falling over itself in the race to cover its tracks in the incredible saga of the about-turn of its dictator, Sanjeev Sabhlok (SS) falling into the swoon, embrace and bed-fellowship of master charlatan, Baba Ramdev.

It appears that till sometime in 2011, Sanjeev Sabhlok was a very strong and virulent critic of Baba Ramdev and the culmination of his total switch to joining the band-wagon of 'Bharat Swabhiman' movement in the speeches he delivered at Patanjali Yogapeeth is causing many red faces within its own ranks

But the moot point to consider is whether Baba Ramdev is really a  product of Gurukul system of education. And also whether such a system formally exists in post-British India. Is Ramdev anymore a product of 'Gurukooling' (the ancient Indian school where students drink the Guru-worship Kool-Aid), than Sri Sri or Chinmayananda are!!.

To infer and assume the excellence of Indian ancient/Gurukul systems from the tainted success of Ramdev is indeed a very huge leap of faith, presumption and credulity that only the likes of Sanjeev Sabhlok and FTI hangers-on can make.

Let me now quote the red-faced and embarrassing retraction of Sanjeev Sabhlok about his hostility to Ramdev and even to Anna Hazare

Lo and Behold! Baba Ramdev is no longer a communal instigator and Anna Hazare, no longer the failed Gandhian wannabe and two of the most arch foes of the Don Quixote of FTI, are now his dearest bed-fellows!!!.

As I referred in my earlier post on this topic, Sanjeev Sabhlok has made himself the self-appointed arbiter of Baba Ramdev's character, past  and actions

Here is the pompous 'judicial' pronouncement of the 'Chief Justice' of  the FTI kangaroo court, Shri. Sanjeev Sabhlok on Ramdev's bona fides:

"Swami Ramdev is merely spreading the best that is found in Indian systems. There is TOTAL integrity in his systems."

"I've satisfied myself entirely that Swami Ramdev is totally above board. There is no issue of "killing" any guru. That is a ridiculous charge that has been refuted completely and repeatedly. Please conduct your own research on this issue. Don't believe in me."

Notice that Baba has now been transformed into a Swami by the wave of the Sanjeev Sabhlok magic wand  of verbal jugglery.

How Sanjeev Sabhlok has satisfied himself entirely that Swami Ramdev is totally above board is not specified anywhere by him.

And raising  Swami/Baba Ramdev 'above the board' is not an easy task, for the charges and accusations against this person are many, varied and grave and not to be dismissed by a wave of a hand or casual remark as Sanjeev Sabhlok has tried to do.

These are:

1. Baba Ramdev is involved in tax evasion.
2. Baba Ramdev exports products that are banned in the United States.
3. Donations received by Baba Ramdev consist of black money and are not accounted for properly.
4. His aide and right-hand man 'Acharya' Balkrishna has fake passport papers.
5. Acharya Balkrishna is a Nepali criminal who fled from Nepal to India.
6. Acharya Balkrishna has violated the Arms Act, 1959.
7. Ramdev and his non-profit firms are alleged to involve in activities prohibited for non-profit tax-exempt organisations in USA.^[66] 
8. Labour law violations and animal parts in medicines 
9.  False claims on curing Cancer and AIDS though Yoga and Ayurveda

The following civil/criminal cases have been filed/under process against him/his aides:

• The Enforcement Directorate (ED) registered a foreign exchange violation case against Baba Ramdev and his trust. The Directorate has found evidence of Ramdev and his trusts receiving financial aid from the USA, Britain and New Zealand. Ramdev and his trust reportedly received Rs 7 crore from Britain. The ED has formally registered a case under the provisions of Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA). Investigations by the ED have found foreign remittances and inflow of funds to Ramdev and his various trusts including the Patanjali Yogpeeth Trust and Divya Yoga Mandir Trust. 
•   The Central Bureau of Investigation has  registered two cases against Yoga guru Ramdev's close aide Balkrishna for allegedly using a fake degree for getting a passport.While one case has been registered under Section 420 (cheating) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code for procuring the fake degree, the other was for violation of Section 12 of the Indian Passport Act (knowingly furnishing false documents), CBI officials said. 
•  The Government has slapped a notice of Rs. 5 crore demand on trusts run by yoga guru Baba Ramdev in connection with alleged service tax evasion while organising yoga camps.Claiming that shivirs (camps) undertaken by Patanjali Yoga Peeth and Divya Yoga Trust in Haridwar were commercial activity, the Revenue department has raised a demand of Rs. 5.14 crore payable on fees collected from individuals for learning Yoga, officials said."The Directorate General of Central Excise Intelligence has sent notices for alleged service tax evasion to the tune of Rs. 5.14 crore late last month. The demands have been raised for its assessment for period between 2007-08 and 2011-12," a Finance Ministry official said.

There could surely be some political vendetta and witch-hunting behind some of this, all of which may not stick to Ramdev, but the instances of misconduct relating to Baba Ramdev are too numerous to just dismissed or brushed off easily.

Beyond all that, is the charge of quackery and defrauding of public by dubious claims of  efficacy of yoga routines and peddling of ayurvedic products of questionable quality, potency and efficacy.

Let's hear the pathetic and hollow apologies from SanjeevSabhlok about Ramdev:

Firstly, what is SKC – a political party? a pressure group?
The website under "About Us" talks of Head Office first and National Reform Summit under Activities, without mentioning what is SKC in the first place and how it will implement its agenda.

Even if the SKC agenda is alright, is there a need for SKC in the first place? Isn't FTI itself good enough? You could have simply diluted the LIBERAL stance of FTI if at all it was necessary.

Now, SKC is perhaps backed by people like Baba Ramdev (or is it the other way around?) And it is debatable whether such people are both secular and liberal e.g. Baba Ramdev has aired his anti-MNC view several times.

Also, now with a proliferation of organisations and movements, there is too much confusion even in basic statements. You say SKCF was formed after NRS, when the NRS invite itself was on SKC website.

MY RESPONSE

FTI is PURELY meant for liberal leaders. It does not (under any circumstance) accept someone who doesn't promote liberty. It will never become a political party. It is the driver of all these activities that you see.

NRS was organised primarily by FTI but in collaboration with BST and others. We were the promoter of the idea, we organised it, and were supported by Swami Ramev. Without his assistance NRS could never have been held. India must be eternally grateful to Swami Ramdev's large heart that he engages with a wide range of good people.

We had created SKCF in end-March IN ANTICIPATION of approval by NRS. Its real beginning was only when NRS participants voted to join it.

SKCF is a FEDERATION. FTI is its secretary. Please read its trust deed. It is an aggregator of individuals, NGOs, political parties and companies that want reform. For the first year its membership is free.

SKCF is now organising this Sone Ki Chidiya movement. It is running on the work of FTI (not Swami Ramdev, although I hope he supports this work: I have the most cordial relationship with him). We do not intend to have a one-off event. This is a sustained movement.

Just like FTI will not come to an end, so also SKCF will not come to an end. The task at hand for these organisations is perennial. SKCF, because it allows a wider range of people to participate, is NOT entirely liberal. In fact, even on FTI there are debates about liberalism. Liberalism is not something like a Bible. It is a way of thinking about things. It is like the scientific method. Its conclusions can change over time, within a fairly wide ambit. SKCF is largely liberal. It will accommodate somewhat illiberal threads to the extent the overall agenda is not adversely affected. It is about taking the message of good governance to India, and such things can't be done "perfectly". There has to be some give and take.

Well, on his website he published allegations against himself and his father of (that time honoured past-time of the Provincial Bureaucrat from his particular caste and mentality) raping children- AN ALLEGATION HE DID NOT DENY- OR EVEN RESENT! No doubt, Sabhlok thought he was being very clever. He hadn't told a lie and believed that I could be prosecuted for threatening his life just because I said I'd fuck him over and smash his ugly face in and rip various organs out of his chest.

Sadly, the Law does not operate in the way Sabhlok thinks. It is entirely proper for me, a man whom he states in the same blog-post to have been very helpful and intelligent, to address him familiarly and to express my disgust and hatred for his and his father's raping of children. I said I'd kill him myself. As a Hindu, I believe it is usual for people of my station to use such terms as I employed to him to mark my extreme disapprobation of his conduct and my feeling of revulsion and hatred for him and his father.

Was Sabhlok- who tells us he automatically deleted my comments- being disingenuous when he stated that what I said to him in a comment on his blog was a 'Death Threat'? Or was there something more sinister afoot?

By my bringing the child rape charge out into the open now rather than when those best able to prosecute this cunt were fully prepared, was Sabhlok trying to minimize the damage to himself and his family? If so, his strategy has backfired.

I am not a lawyer or a police-man nor have I the means or the empathic skills to counsel the victims of Sabhlok's crimes.
A senior person contacted me about Sabhlok after he published his unmanly anti-Iyer idiocy. He hastened to assure me that he had the lowest opinion of Sanjeev Sabhlok's intellect and integrity. But were the allegations true?

I append this email exchange with someone Sabhlok professes to admire and which, incidentally, I posted on Sabhlok's blog as a comment but, sadly, like everything not conforming to his World View,  you won't find there now.

I regarded Sanjeev Sabhlok as a harmless nit-wit till he angered the son of a friend of mine, a distinguished lady who had made the mistake of trying to reason with that nit-wit on his execrable blog. Rather than let the younger man- an Economist currently visiting South Asia- get involved himself, I rattled Sabhlok's cage with the sort of information which comes only too readily to hand for someone of my connections. I didn't really have much hope that Sabhlok would be foolish enough to publish my comments as he edits out anything which is unflattering to himself. My gamble paid off, because it turns out he has a delusive self image as some sort of martyr of sufficient significance to receive death threats. I thought it worthwhile to pile on the pressure- not so much to make the coward squirm- but in the hope that he will be foolish enough to take legal action or issue a police complaint- both of which gives me locus standi and removes the danger of libel action for the third party I am concerned with. Since , Sabhlok is literally incapable of telling the truth any statement of his would be sufficient to convict him of perjury, bad faith and- since he is bound to dig himself deeper into the mess- a criminal conspiracy to defeat the ends of justice.

I suppose Sabhlok represents a particular type of what Alok Rai called the 'damaged modernity- at once embryonic and addled' or the provincial Indian Babu class. I recall reading a novel some ten or so years ago about an Indian bureaucrat- one engaged in extracting bribes out of Schools which don't have the regulation amount of play-ground space- who is also a sexual pervert who preys on little girls. Perhaps, there is some deeper depth psychological connection between a hateful perversion of that description and Alok Rai's comic 'damaged modernity'. What is certain is that a man like Sabhlok does a great dis-service to the liberal cause by his antics. He is now a sort of chamcha of Baba Ramdev.

It is really that Brother Sanjeev Sabhlok is impersonating as 'Sone Ke Chidiya'.

Whereas Brother Sanjeev only "conceived" SKC-FEDERATION on 26 Jan 2013 and opened a SKC-Fed Bank account around 15 May 2013, all the main email and Login IDs for SKC on both Gmail and Yahoo and other platforms  were already with SKC movement since 2010 onwards.

Till 16 May 2013 all cheque funds for SKC were being collected in name of FTI only, purportedly for arranging the 4 June rally.

The public is cautioned against misleading comments from some persons associated with Freedom Team of India which is claiming itself  to be Secretary for the SKC movement.

The modus operandi of such persons is to collect funds in one name (FTI) purportedly on behalf of another organization (SKC) for which no bank account or registration is in place. This is a well trodden tactic used by thousands of NGOs to evade government scrutiny into the black money being laundered through their accounts, as the second organization then gets converted into a political party so that the money laundering can take place between "loans" and "advances" from the first organization and the second organization.

Arvind Kejriwal's PCR Foundation used the similar strategy to launder and embezzle tens of crore rupees received for India Against Corruption, and FTI is now doing the same for SKC.

When the results came in a few hours later we were as shocked as everyone else that LSP barely managed to poll about 61,000 votes for the whole of Karnataka despite putting up many good candidates and professionals in urban areas of Bangalore.

It is clear to us now that the people of India have rejected alternative political parties with little hope of winning especially those floated by the intellectual classes. The SKC shall have to revisit its strategy if we are to actually fight elections in 2014 as many of us want.

In the coming months, SKC will float many state level parties to fight the elections for the Lok Sabha on local issues. This strategy will enable SKC to enter into local alliances at State level irrespective of national alliances and enable issue based support. The draft manifesto of SKC party is ready and it only remains for the General Body to ratify it.

Our mother is calling to us and we shall not fail the nation.
